We help the water sector improve mechanisms for public participation in policy processes, so they can build trust with their community members and public buy-in for their projects.
Led by a frequent international speaker on youth engagement strategy and leader of the Water and Climate Coalition, NextWave Consulting clearly communicates the value of water in a way that increases stakeholder engagement from global to local scales. We have helped achieve results for our clients including decreasing delayed time for project implementation, and by converting policy committee seats to underrepresented community leaders.

What Clients Are Saying
Lindsey joined our Human Right to Water research team to assist with preliminary research, as well as with stakeholder outreach. Her consultation meetings with water agency personnel helped guide the direction of our research as well as build key relationships for our project. We enjoyed working with Lindsey and will be keeping her top of mind for future stakeholder needs. We recommend working with her.
Everybody agrees that water is the source of life. To understand and appreciate that water is the source of peaceful coexistence you need a mix of committed and long term oriented effort linking vision, leadership and evidence based approaches. Lindsey will help you in finding your right mix.
As a water passionate, I saw Lindsey advocating and lobbying for the sector with her wise pragmatism and unrelenting moral compass. Sustainable access to water resources is constant work in progress, as no challenge poses a greater threat to our future than being water insecure. Lindsey has been doing, is doing and stands ready to do the work. I feel lucky to call her a friend.
Lindsey Blodgett is a widely respected professional with a knack for absorbing and communicating complex water policy questions and fostering effective dialogue across broad stakeholder communities.
In her role as President of the World Youth Parliament for Water, Lindsey has certainly taken Youth for Water to another level – getting network members from +50 countries to mobilize and connect with decision makers at all levels. I thank her for her unwavering commitment and leadership. Working with Lindsey has been a pleasure.
Lindsey helped us consult with all the major youth organizations in the Mediterranean as well as draft a Water and Youth Engagement Strategy for one of our major clients. Her knowledge of all the major water youth stakeholder groups in the region, as well as engaging personality to connect well with these groups was key to developing a successful engagement strategy. Lindsey has worked on three projects with us, and we will continue to do more with her.
The Global Water Partnership was very interested in engaging Young Professionals (YP) in its effort to promote Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and Lindsey was the ideal person to do this. Together, Lindsey and I served on the GWP Steering Committee an NGO based in Stockholm. The GWP appointed her as the YP representative and the two of us then worked together to develop guidelines for appointing YPs. This was not as easy as it sounds because we wanted to ensure that we ‘cast a wide net’ to ensure that we engaged a broad spectrum of people. With her knowledge and experience we developed an YP protocol that the GWP adopted.
